Talent Distribution for raids. With dual spec implemented what is your main spec and dual spec and why?
|
0/16/55
The things most worth mention are the disputable talents that I chose to skip (Healing grace, healing focus, focused mind).
I skipped healing grace and healing focus because both are okay for five mans when I'm unsure of my tanks competence, but in a raid environment healing focus will make no difference if I pull aggro; the add will probably one hit me anyway. Healing grace will also only ensure that the stray add jumps onto a different healer instead of me, which will do the raid no good. Focused mind is okay for some fights, (some of the trash pulls in Naxx, when they were worth worrying about, and faction champs come to mind) but not enough fights for it to be one of my regular talents.
It's not mentioned in the question, but my glyphs are chain heal, lesser healing wave, and earthshield. Shamans are capable of filling the role of tank or raid healers right now. My spec, glyph, gear, and playstyle are suited to switching between roles mid fight when/if needed. Usually raid healing, but capable of helping main-tank heal when I find time; or filling the role when a main-tank healer dies for whatever reason.
While my preferred play style is a hybrid MT/raid heal spec; I would be willing to change things up for the sake of raid leaders.
My offspec is presently PvP resto (which i can use for fights with large amounts of stray aggro, such as faction champs). I currently lack the gear to respec into a dps; but if needed I would be willing to gather hit rating gear and switch my offspec to better help the guild.
I have experience playing elemental. |

What are your primary professions? Mention secondary ones only if you they are maxed out (i.e. 450).
|
Jewelcrafting - 450 - 28 epic cuts known. I was doing a good job of keeping up on learning new cuts. But I've been guild-less for awhile now which has lowered my motivation to keep up on learning cuts. Still, at 28 known, I know must the relevant cuts.
Mining - 450 |

In order (skipping non-raiding guilds)
Pulse (of the server Blackwing Lair) - Was a new guild when i joined. We raided Naxx 10 and then expanded to start clearing Naxx 25. Got half the fights downed before disbanding because of clashing between new/old raiders. My first full clear was in more than half blues, my first week inside naxx.
Xfered
Tribute was my first guild after xfering to Azjol-Nerub. We were just beginning to full clear Naxx 25 when I joined. We worked on Ulduar 10/25 for awhile shortly after. After half downing Ulduar regularly my computer died. By the time I had a running computer again (a few months later) the guild had lost enough people to not be able to put together 25 mans. Tribute disbanded and reformed under a new guild leader. The new guild was Life Binders, and almost the exact same guild minus the old guild leader and his wife. ToC came out shortly after that.
While still in Life Binders I began pugging ToC 25 with Imperial Redux alts and 2nd string raiders. This raid group later formed the guild Amnesty (which I joined, since Life Binders had all but caved in on itself at that point.)
I quit Amnesty after developing an inability to deal with the personality of one of the core raiders who was very respected there (Aggression/Saphirion), and gquit. If this sounds dramatic I challenge anyone in Carried to have a conversation with him.
I have been guild-less and only pugged raids since then. (mostly with some Imperial Redux friends.) |
|
Are you applying for a Raider or casual rank? Casuals are friends of the guild and normally do not raid with us on a regular basis, casuals should know at least 2 people currently in the guild to be accepted.
|
I am applying for a raider position. |
|
Previous Raiding Experience. Please indicate if you downed bosses pre 3.0 or post 3.0( This applies only to BC Bosses), Please indicate if WOTLK bosses were 10 man (normal) or 25 man (Heroic).
|
Kara - post 3.0 (I hit 70 on my Shaman a few weeks before WotLK came out.)
Gruul - post 3.0
Mags - post 3.0
SSC - (except Lady Vash) post 3.0
Tempest Keep - about half clear, post 3.0
Naxx 10/25 - Many times. One of the first guilds on server to full clear.
Obsidian Sanctum 10/25 - Many times
Malygos 10/25 - Only downed twice, but none of my guilds ran it much.
Ulduar 10/25 - Heavy experience with first half of raid. Computer died and guild collapsed before I got to see much of later half (have been past Auriyaya once). Also didn't see much point in running it once my computer was running since ToC came out, had better gear, and was infinitely easier to clear.
ToC 10/25 - raided and full cleared heavily with multiple raid groups.
ToGC 10 - full cleared twice, cleared except Anub three other times. Went into ToGC 25 once on a tryout for Dark Legion (went well by the way; but was intimidated by the way things are run over there, and declined to join. Feel free to speak to their guild leader, Darkknight, if that sounds strange. I'll explain more what I mean if asked.)
Ony 10/25 - Pugged weekly, since release, until the badges/drops became useless.
ICC 10 - cleared first four bosses every week, haven't been back in this week (meaning I haven't seen new bosses yet.) |

How many days do we raid a week?

What do you expect from the guild? What do you have to offer? Do you have a WWS, World of Logs or a similar site that we can see? (especially helpful for server transfers)
|
I expect a raid group I'll be able to raid new progression content with.
I'm an experienced raid or main tank healer, and can easily fill either role, or switch between either role; even mid fight if called for.
I don't have any data on either of those sites. I do welcome any of your officers to ask around about me though, I don't think my abilities fall short of pushing forward progression content. |
|
How do you react to being sat out for a fight?
|
I've been guild-less on and off for half a year now.
Being sat out for fights (even if sat more often then called in) would still be better then failing to find a competent raid group week by week. |
|
What add-on modules do you use? Do you have a mic? Do you use it?
|
I personally don't use any add-ons at all.
I've told myself that I'll download DBM if I encounter fights that overwhelm me, and I feel unable to handle without the assistance of an add-on.
As of this far I haven't had a need to download it, and think it's more efficient to simply learn the fights.
I have a mic, I do use it when needed, but not otherwise. |

Net Connection Speed/Type

Broadband cable. |
|
What attunements do you have? (even if they aren't necessary any longer)
|
I started raiding LATE BC. And never raided post SSC BC content. I'm Kara attuned on one of my alt rogues (used to be my main). |
|
Mention current members of <Carried> that you know, if any. Having someone willing to vouch for you is a huge plus in applying to our guild
|
I'm married to Drift.
I don't "know" that I know anyone else from your guild. If there's someone I've pugged content with that I'm forgetting then I apologize for not realizing it. |
|
Summary of your background and interests.
|
I'm a 90s kid. I grew up playing games; whether board, card, console or computer.
I'm presently working a shitty minimum wage job that I'd just rather not talk about.
I'm happily married.
I'm not very talkative, but when i do talk it's usually about games (mechanics), or music (rock; mostly 90s alternative). |
|
Days and times typically available (please include time zone). We are an EST guild.
|
I'm also EST. I can almost guarantee I'll have Tuesday and Friday nights off; as I always work mornings those days. The rest of my schedule is somewhat erratic. But I'm sure I'll make 3/4 of the raid nights. Sometimes more, sometimes less. |
Are you able to make 75% of raids in our current schedule
MONDAY-Thursday 6:30-10:00 MT
Rarely Sunday's 6:30-10:00 MT
|
As I said above, I'll be able to make MOST of those raid times; averaging out to 75% of the raids times. Some weeks more, some weeks less. |
|
Carried expects its raiders to have all of their gear enchanted/gemmed with superior quality or better gems within 1 raid week of acquiring an item. How would you pay for this and the cost of raiding?
|
I do mining loops, and dailies when desperate for money.
With the ease of making money post WotLK though there have been very few instances I've had to work to make money.
(should be mentioned I've always worked hard for best in slot. Not only will I have epic gems/best enchants, I'll usually have them before I even equip the item in need. I always flask for progression content. I keep a stack of mana potions around. I was one of the first people on my last server exalted with Hodir.) |
|
Would you be willing to re-spec if we asked you too? Do you have gear for alternate specs?
|
|
|
Are you a server transfer? If so reason for leaving your current server. Also if your server transfer is not up please indicate how long until it is up.
|
I am currently an Azjol resident.
(I left blackwing lair some time ago now, but if you're still curious why I left it's because it's a PvP server with an 8:1 horde:alliance ratio, and after Pulse disbanded there were no other alliance raiding guilds left I was interested in joining.) |
|
Have you read up on our Guild Policy located on the General forums titled Carried policy? If not do so, to avoid any future conflict.
|
Yes. |
