Talent Distribution for raids. With dual spec implemented what is your main spec and dual spec and why?
Enhance / Resto
I'm far better at DPS than healing. My healing set is currently undergeared. I'm a fine raid healer when I'm practiced and geared for it (like I was back in Ulduar, early ToC). I'm willing to push to get that set geared to be a backup raid healer if called for. I'm also very willing to convert that offspec to Elemental and gear that up as well to switch between ranged and melee dps as raid needs call for it. |

What are your primary professions? Mention secondary ones only if you they are maxed out (i.e. 450).

I have the following on my alts:
450 Blacksmithing, 450 Leatherworking, 455 Engineering, 450 Mining, 450 Herbalism, 450 Skinning, 444 Tailoring, 440 Alchemy |

Current Guild/former guilds, reasons for leaving.
Oblivion (as Wylt) back in TBC. Quit before patch 3.0 due to disagreements with how raids were being managed, and lack of desire to raid in their stressful environment (guild drama).
Blackened Vanity (as Drakahl) early WotLK. Guild folded at the launch of Ulduar due to primary leader causing problems throughout the ranks. Was main-tank, off-tank, raid leader & co-leader of the guild. Wore too many hats and needed to move on to something more simple.
Coup de Grace (as Wykked) rerolled to Shaman due to lack of raid spots available for my tank (Drakahl). Became top-3, top-4 DPS on almost every boss fight and then my wife gave birth. Took a few weeks off and returned to find myself replaced. Was faced with trying to push my way back into primary raider status on a guild that moved painfully slow and got very little accomplished. Decided my time was better spent elsewhere.
CK (as Wykked, then Mordessa). Rerolled Mage to try and win a raid spot after continual denials as Wykked. After a couple months of showing up early 2, 3 days per week and always being asked to sit about a dozen people left over the course of a couple of days... I was one of those people. Just fed up with the crap, ya know? |
Are you applying for a Raider or casual rank? Casuals are friends of the guild and normally do not raid with us on a regular basis, casuals should know at least 2 people currently in the guild to be accepted.
I'm applying to be a Raider. However, if that doesn't work out I would be fine as a Casual so long as Casuals get invited along to 10's and other such events on a regular basis. |
Previous Raiding Experience. Please indicate if you downed bosses pre 3.0 or post 3.0( This applies only to BC Bosses), Please indicate if WOTLK bosses were 10 man (normal) or 25 man (Heroic).
As Wylt I cleared Kara, SSC, TK, 1/2 Hyjal, 1/3 BT pre-3.0 as a Raider in Oblivion.
As Drakahl I tanked VoA, Nax, OS, Maly in both 10 and 25, all pre-Ulduar. Tanked a few bosses in Ulduar 10 and 25 in pugs and when I started out in Coup.
As Wykked I've cleared ToC 10, ToC 25 up to Anub (Coup couldn't kill him at the time) and 1st boss in ICC 25 normal.
As Mordessa I've cleared ToC 10 a few times in pugs. |

How many days do we raid a week?
I can normally be available 2-3 days one week and 3-4 the next. I typically push to be available 3 nights per week. Real life does sometimes get in the way. And sometimes the wife just wants some time with me. If I can't attend for any reason I let officers know. If I can do that via text/email, even better. |
What do you expect from the guild? What do you have to offer? Do you have a WWS, World of Logs or a similar site that we can see? (especially helpful for server transfers)
I expect a solid raid focus when raids are occurring. Nothing peeves me more than showing up early to a raid only to get a late start and then have 12 afk's before the 2nd boss is down (Coup raided this way). I had Blackened Vanity clearing Nax 25 in 3 hours before Ulduar. That's how I like to raid. Show up, get it done, move on with life. We cleared all content every week and only raided 7 hours a week, if that's a clue. Now, not everyone raids that way. I get that. But if half my raid time is spent standing around waiting on some jackhole to feed his dog, I'm not going to be happy.
I come prepared. I push myself to improve and be the best to every extent possible. I was a 140 hour per week raider in EverQuest in a server #1 guild for many years, back in the day, and I carry that mindset along with me. I'm hardcore at heart but forced to play more casual due to real life constraints (my family comes first, as it should). I'm one of those guys that just knows stuff about the game. Once I do it, I remember it. I can spout off quests from back at level 1 just as freely as the daily I did yesterday. |
How do you react to being sat out for a fight?
I don't mind sitting now and then. Not at all. If it's every single time, yes I'd be pissed. My goal is to clear all content, but see 3/4 bosses every week and never actually finish the place personally. Yes, some of that is about the loot but to me loot is secondary. It's a necessary evil which allows you to progress further, and progress is what I'm after. |
What add-on modules do you use? Do you have a mic? Do you use it?
I have a mic. I sometimes use it. Depends on where/how the baby is sleeping, if company is over, etc.
I currently use a modified version of Degausser UI from wowinterface. Thoroughly tweaked, but I used it as a base. |

Net Connection Speed/Type

What attunements do you have? (even if they aren't necessary any longer)
nada? |
Mention current members of <Carried> that you know, if any. Having someone willing to vouch for you is a huge plus in applying to our guild
None of those listed in the roster ring a bell. Pattimelt in CK (wife) and Talice in CK (real life friend) could talk about my skill / experience. |
Summary of your background and interests.
I'm a IT professional. Programming to server administration to database administration and web development, you name it.
I play guitar.
I was in the Air Force from 1992 to 2000.
I played EQ from 2000 to 2005, in top tier raid guilds.
I lead a raid guild in EQ2 for the first 6 months of the game's life, then we all left due to the uselessness of the end game at that time.
I beta'd Dark Age of Camelot
I dabbled in Final Fantasy Online
I was playing Doom back in the early 90's, when it was released. I use the same base keybinding now that I developed for Quake 1, way back in the day. |
Days and times typically available (please include time zone). We are an EST guild.
I live in Richmond VA, so I'm also EST.
The days I'm typically available to raid are TUES, WED, THUR, SAT and MON but not all of them every single week. My typical raid availability would probably look something like this:
Week 1: TUE WED THUR
Week 2: TUE THU SUN MON
Week 3: TUE WED MON
Week 4: TUE WED THUR MON
^^ depending on real life circumstances, working late, baby trouble, wife aggro, etc. When I can raid I show up early and I'm there to the end. When I can't, I let someone know. |
Are you able to make 75% of raids in our current schedule
MONDAY-Thursday 6:30-10:00 MT
Rarely Sunday's 6:30-10:00 MT
I will usually make 3 days per week. Some weeks may dip to 2, with notice given as soon as possible. Some weeks might increase to 4. It should balance to 75% over time. |
Carried expects its raiders to have all of their gear enchanted/gemmed with superior quality or better gems within 1 raid week of acquiring an item. How would you pay for this and the cost of raiding?
I have almost every profession maxed, and the ones that aren't are very close to it. I can play the market a bit as a result and between that and dailies I can generally produce around 2k per week rather casually. If I push hard I can break 5 to 6k per week if the need arises. |
Would you be willing to re-spec if we asked you too? Do you have gear for alternate specs?
Yes, but would also be willing to switch mains. I have 5 (almost 6) 80's. Mordessa, my mage, is almost equally geared and I'm fairly comfortable playing her (for example). |
Are you a server transfer? If so reason for leaving your current server. Also if your server transfer is not up please indicate how long until it is up.
No.

Have you read up on our Guild Policy located on the General forums titled Carried policy? If not do so, to avoid any future conflict.
Yep. Very cut and dry. I like it. |
